Holli Moore's Brownies

This is my favorite brownie recipe as of late (2011).

2/3 cup butter
2 squares (one ounce each) unsweetened  chocolate (I use Bakers) (OR 6 T cocoa powder + 2 T oil)**
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp each vanilla, salt, baking power
1 1/2 cups flour

Melt butter and chocolate together over medium heat on stove, slowly, do not let boil, take off heat and add sugar, then eggs, then rest of ingredients, mix well by hand, butter and flour a 11in baking dish, pour in, bake @ 350 four 30-45 min, take out when toothpick comes clean, let cool and enjoy!!

9/25: I feel like these could be more chocolatey... maybe add another oz of chocolate, or if using cocoa powder, increase to 9 T cocoa powder and 3 T oil, that is 1/2 C plus 1 T, or just try adding 1/2 C cocoa powder to the recipe and not adding the extra oil for ease?). Good recipe though, makes a nice crunchy. layer on top. Very milk chocolaty as written.
